No mention of Julia Child as a spy in WWII? Well, she was actually just a typist at the OSS (early version of the CIA for the people in back reading this), but likely saw and heard plenty of confidential stuff.

Hey, that's really cool!

No, I totally did that on purpose so people would come here and read the comments.

I figure: by 52 (2.5 yrs from now), I should have a really good idea of what to do for the next few decades. Still working on it!

Perplexity tells me that James Dyson became a billionaire at 44 after decades of prior struggle and over 5,000 prototypes.

So I guess I still have a bit over half a year left to make my first billion!

And boy did he end up making some fantastic products. Seriously, some of the vacuums are on another level. Easily my 2nd favorite Dyson!

I'm using a cordless Dyson multiple times a day here to clean up after the cats, kids, and other miscellaneous trash generators!

After some research, here is what stood out. Duncan Hines – Published his first restaurant guide at 55 and launched the cake mix brand at 73.

I’ll never eat cake without thinking about this now… But it gives me hope. I’ll publish my first book before my 53rd birthday. Maybe I can get the equivalent of a cake mix brand named after me too!

Also, I’d always assumed the brand was named after two people, something like Roger Duncan and Ezekiel Hines. 😆 happy belated birthday! 🎂

Oh wow - Duncan and Hines! I also did not know that.

We're still super duper young. Let's never forget that.

Man I’m not pleased with this aging crap. Someone just informed me that when I turn 60 (few months) I’ll be working on my 7th decade and that’s some bs.

Yeah, never think in decades or number of trips around the sun. It always sounds older and 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭𝘴 older than the plain number.

Good advice. When I turned 50 I started counting backwards to see if I could get to zero but I don't like that anymore either.
