Hi Andrew - You wrote a post recently about AI impact on authors, where this might fit best, but cant find it and "stretching the mind" seems to fit: I was serializing my satirical sci-fi novel about persona hopping, and it inspired me to create a mobile app for authors to chat by voice with their characters to brainstorm stories. There’s short video at charactersoncall.substack.com (where you can also read Hoppers episodes for free.) I am looking for fiction writers on substack to give this a workout.
Keith, that's really cool! I think you can get the most bang for your buck if you can make a post about this on Sci-Friday, and tag those authors. You could probably get some attention from the other author groups too, but this app fits in well with sci-fi themes already.
I've thought about this a lot lately and tried much harder to live my own experiences the way I want, rather than trying to just follow along and do what others want because that's what I figure they want to do.
This is incredibly important, but also incredibly tough. I've never regretted living by my own terms, but getting to that peace of mind wasn't ever super easy, and that feeling of others watching you never really goes away (although it definitely gets a lot quieter over time).
From perspective, fear is at the heart of all marginalization and discrimination. Instead of a “mind being stretched”, I might say a more inclusive consciousness is realized…
Dr. Oliver Wendell Holmes, Sr. was a prolific poet and novelist in addition to writing medical scholarly articles. While he was well-known in his time, his reputation has been eclipsed by the fame of his son, Supreme Court Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr.

Thank you Andrew. Will do. for this Friday. I am kind of a substack newbie so please advise me who are 'those authors' and how to tag them.
Keith, if you look at my profile under "Notes", you'll find last week's Sci-Friday post. You can use that one!
got it. i see you did a list for warrior Wednesday as well. I’ll give that a shot next week too.

Good to know it never goes away. I’m sure it does get easier and more comfortable over time.
It does, but I always do the "two roads diverged in a wood" exercise in my head, you know?
Can i just say your stretching brain Yogi is a great logo for your new Goat Fury Life Coach business?

Sure, but how do you define "mind"? I think we're onto something.
Perhaps defining anything is an attempt at control. As such, it seems a distraction…
My body is a temple, so I keep my mind in pristine condition by never stretching it. You never know when it's gonna snap!
My body is a temple, so I like to cover myself with grout and mortar every day instead of clothes. I'm still waiting for the right bricklayer.

I was introduced to Junior through collecting postage stamps.
