There's a bunch in California U.S. from the 70s and 80s, especially surfer dude and Valley girl talk, which is slowly fading. "That's f*&%ing bad, dude!"--meaning "that's f*%$ing cool, dude!" is the first I remember. My semi-delinquent brother used it a lot. These days I hear "rad," "sick," "weird" replacing "cool" or "bad:" :)
The graphic and subject matter made me think of "Poor Things", which I thought was fantastic. The sets, the acting, the levels of bizarre so very well done. The saying that changed (without my knowing) was " Bless your heart ", a kind great Aunt used to say this in response to my giving her a flower or setting the table and it made me feel good. Found out at a terribly inappropriate time (after using) that it now means something totally different and rude...why?!
Butthole Surfers have at least one genuine earworm I can never get out of my head, and which always makes me feel good when it's playing: "Who Was in My Room Last Night?"
Oh man, I can keep up with writing every day - just barely time wise! But I love it, and I draw energy from the creative process. I do have a lot of original art I've made over the years, but it's tough to work them into pieces like today's.
If it makes up for it, I am teaching and training jiu jitsu twice today.
Galvani's experiments were a major influence on Mary Shelley during the writing of "Frankenstein".
And he himself became a word- any movement that resembles being given an electric shock is said to be "galvanic".
I should have mentioned "Macabre Mary"

"Bless your heart" is a fantastic example! Wish I had thought about that one this morning!
Just read Noahpinion’s latest and it’s all about current politics repurposing the word weird including an opening quote by the Butthole Surfers

Cougar is now used to describe an older woman on the prowl for a younger man.
