Human knowledge has continued to increase over time, with the last few decades of new discoveries picking up intensity and taking on a life all their own.
Well, you've posted another good one here, Andrew! Knowledge is often touted in our current milieu, but I perceive that it's just about either worthless, or even dangerous, without wisdom.
Thanks, Melvin! I couldn't agree more, and it's all about taking a look around everywhere, especially where areas of knowledge intersect. For me, that's where the magic really happens... and where a lot of wisdom lies that otherwise goes overlooked.
We built dashboards filled with data points and data visuals and trends and targets and thresholds. Every app tracks every move you make (or don’t). The dashboards were SMART, they used SWOT, they embedded OKRs and KPIS. RACIs were created; BHAGs were set. But 99 percent of the data is noise.
Strange. When I talk about the "File Drawer Problem," I typically refer to the awful state of my disorganized Desktop folder and file management. Now there's a real file drawer problem for you.
I'm hoping AI like Deep Research can uncover more.
I think it will, but I also think it will make the problem worse in some ways. I think it's inevitable, but not indefinite.

I'm ashamed to admit that I know what all of these terms mean, though I had to look up RACI to remind myself. Ugh!
BHAG is my fave and conceptually legit
I always think about the moon landing when I hear BHAG.

If you ever go digging and try to decide what info to save, you're also doing the metaphorical version. We have completed the linguistic circle.
