You reminded me here of Chico Esquela, the ficrional baseball player Garrett Morris portrayed on "Saturday Night Live" in the old days. If anyone mentioned anything related to his job, he would invariably say: "Baseball's been very, very good to me."
In the early 1980s, the legendary Canadian animation studio Nelvana made a TV special called "Easter Fever", starring Morris as the voice of the Easter bunny. All the writers had to do was substitute "Easter" for "baseball".
I love how recycled these great routines are. We just see them as moments of brilliance, but in reality they've been iterated, rehashed, reworked, and perfected many times by the time they become iconic moments.
