I'll let others chew on your implication questions, Andrew....I think I'm more inspired by Dink-Dink and her confidence and pride in sizing up and accomplishing her Evel Knievel leap across the canyon! You two have cornered the market on adorable!
Yes! The thought process is always the most interesting part for me! Her poor old stiff back must make everything into a triangulation problem-how do I get from here to there without getting high-centered?!!Good old girl.
It's a bike for sure! My partner bought it after ACL surgery, so she could recover. I don't know a ton about the thing other than it's great for workouts and makes a lot of noise.
I appreciated all three versions, but I think the Millennial version was my favorite. She looked very proud of herself after making that leap of faith!
I expect the billions she’s pulling in has something to do with it. You may not appreciate her music, but surely you appreciate her business acumen and bottom line? And she has better taste in men than some others we could name.
I am sure she is very talented and hard working. I have just never enjoyed her music. It came across as boy-obsessed when I was a teenager, and it seems like it hasn't changed???
As far as I can tell (from what very little of her music I've listened to), it's just saccharine-pop, mostly uninspired. Don't get me wrong- I love saccharine pop! Yacht Rock is like my favorite genre, but it has to be original and good.
She works her ass off and I admire her for that, but that's as far as I will go.
You do understand that girls and women experience Taylor Swift’s songs of what she goes thru as validation, rather than saccharine pop? And you do understand that girls and women experience many rock songs about what men go thru as just more whining justifications for abusing others, mostly women and girls, rather than powerful anthems of independence and strength? I suggest you listen to her latest album, all the way thru, a couple of times, and then tell us what you think, cause it doesn’t seem like you have kept up with what she is up to. Not trying to diss you. Really, you might learn something.
I should probably clarify: she's not my taste insofar as the music she creates. I think she has been an excellent advocate for women's rights, and I admire her work ethic.
I'm also not trying to diminish the genre I called saccharine pop, either. This music can be meaningful for many. I just happen to think there's better music out there within the genre.
But hey, to each their own! There's a whole world of experiences out there, and many great artists producing meaningful works that appeal to each of us.
Dude. Your article had, like, more than 10 words. I gave up after 7. I have cat fail videos to watch and social media feeds to scroll. I ain't got that kind of time!
So all I know is "Taylor Swift is on the screen, about"
About what? About when? Dunno. Whatevers. Probably nothing.
As a fellow GenXer, very interesting and apt observations. My younger generation friends sometimes giggle at my fuddy duddy ways. I try to keep up with all this, and all I can think of is how easy we had it growing up.
Social media and the internet and the news in our faces 24/7, it's fucking exhausting at times.
Counterpoint: figuring anything out was almost impossible. Barriers for novel information were incredibly high, so we lived in ignorance about 95% of the world.
My mamma took my sister and me to the library every week, we each checked out the maximum number of books allowed, read them all, and then quizzed each other to make sure we understood it all. Novels, history, anything we wanted. I am so grateful to my mother for that.
I love thinking about the paradox, though. There are things we've left behind in order to get new things, and some of the things we left behind are worth reminiscing over.

Brad, I see that you have deciphered the truly important message I wanted to impart here!
I am old. I liked the first version with doggy contemplation of options, the best.
I love the way she thinks about what she's going to do!
Yes! The thought process is always the most interesting part for me! Her poor old stiff back must make everything into a triangulation problem-how do I get from here to there without getting high-centered?!!Good old girl.
If you want to get on our level with Dink for a day or two, here's a playlist we created: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLZ1G1sImT46yqHrt8mCxjAQM8Ntu7O7iZ
So I was hooked by Taylor and stayed for the dog tricks and learned some cool things in between.
Also is that a spin bike or just a fan back there?!
It's a bike for sure! My partner bought it after ACL surgery, so she could recover. I don't know a ton about the thing other than it's great for workouts and makes a lot of noise.

The video editing was great. Dink-Dink nailed that jump like a champ!
I have never heard of the Millennial Pause or the GenZ Shake.
She calculates math in her head! I can see the gears turning, like an artillery specialist during WWII.
And that, I suppose, is why Taylor Swift is Time's Person of the Year.
Because she pauses?
I mean, that's as good a reason as any.
I admire her work ethic! She is definitely the Madonna of the 2020s.

Mike Judge needs to remake Idiocracy and make everyone way, way dumber. And, make it like 10 years in the future, not centuries.
I'd watch it, if only for the simplified version of "Ow my Balls!" - the original had too many words.
Holy crap, they already made the sequel!

Now I can almost follow! Do you have it in a single-image meme format that uses a maximum of two emojis?
Sure do.
🙁🍒
Now I get it! Hilarious. That's Oscar material right there.

Wait, are you my sister too? Pretty sure me and my bookworm sis had the same momma, or maybe they were sisters... 🤔
LOL!Good for your mamma and your sister too!
True that.
I love thinking about the paradox, though. There are things we've left behind in order to get new things, and some of the things we left behind are worth reminiscing over.
