Strangely enough, my knowledge of Edgar Allan Poe is mostly limited to "The Raven," the first four lines of which I can quote from memory but the rest of which is basically a vague understanding of the overall themes of the poem.
And then, of course, there's the Simpsons episode.
Baltimore is the central place for Poe tracking. He spent a very significant portion of his life there, and it's dutifully noted.
Baltimore certainly has a vastly better claim on Poe than Richmond! But hey, I give them credit for creativity here.
