Living in the PNW I try to get as much sun as I can and then supplement vitamin D in the sunless winter. I'm soaking it up right now, I would stare into the sun as a kid for a few seconds and realized how powerful it truly is.
Yes, and it’s amazing how the word “light” is used over 260 times in the Bible. The word “sun” around 200 times . It is also curious that the word is a homonym…
As far as we know, for now, water is necessary for life (until we find a planet with life without water), and some people say water is life. I know this is a over simplification as we need more than just water. However, we should probably change this to “Water and Sun are life.”
No, I have never had mono. Many conclusions relate to the lack of sun exposure that contributes to vitamin D production. Personally, I think it is related to stress as well.
Reminds me of the They Might be Giants song: Why Does the Sun Shine?

Nice, and I'm very pleased to see that you included the updated version.
I’ve also got an essay in draft that explores a different angle on the power of the sun.

It's like the king of planets.
I used to take vitamin D supplements, but a daily walk has obviated the need for it. Now I just need to avoid skin cancer, and I'm all set!

Many neurologists think MS, which ails me, is related to vitamin D.
Do you know much about the theoretical mechanism behind it? I have a feeling I'm about to go down a vitamin D rabbit hole.
I did but have forgotten (another MS ailment). Vitamin D and Epstein-Barr are likely culprits.
Did you ever have mono when you were younger? Catching up on EBV a bit now.

I really appreciate the first-hand info! How'd I do on the piece overall? This one ended up taking on a life of its own today.
It got me engaged, so very good!
If you like the Sun so much, why don't you marry it?! "Sun is great. Sun is everything!" It's all I ever hear anymore!
I'm honestly more of a civil union type of person.
