That is why the Dirac delta function is important to biology and even more so to history.

For me, it was the opportunity to get connected to the internet.

Huge! When did this first happen for you? Have you written about this?

It happened a bit late. 1999.

That's still really early! I know many folks in Nigeria got internet access for the first time with the advent of the smartphone. They kind of skipped a generation (desktops and laptops), right into the modern era.

I belong to the generation of Nigerians who got internet access through desktop. Till today, I'm still crazy about desktop. It took me a long time before I graduated to smartphone.

I also prefer desktops (or laptops) for most things! It's just easier to type and think, and to see everything I need to see all at once. Phones are so tiny and hard for me to use (for most things).

One thing that I think and appreciate that it changed the world -and become the highest turning point is smartphone. It opened a different economy and changed our ways of life completely; products from other products have emerged and become interlinked. I applaud the likes of Steve Jobs who had just a simple vision that turn around everywhere. In your next adventure, tell us Andrew where the idea of touch screen was borrowed from the universe.

Edwin, Jobs saw the touch screen, GUI, and mouse over at Xerox PARC! He saw something they did not see.

He saw what no one believed in. I had read how one journist questioned how is it possible to have a touch screen in 2007. So, Steve Job was confident about it and so to his word, you and I are the testimonies. He wa a a visionary .

Yeah! The first time my wife looked at me. Boom! I know I'm trivial. Don't get mad Andrew :-P

Interestingly enough, I would say that's probably not trivial at all! Is there a good story behind the meeting?

Well, there was not much good before I met her. But she was pure light. And I assure you, for a guy with my problems, she was a real gift. Really, no kidding. The moment I met her, she filled my life with meaning. That is why your question immediately lit up her face in my mind.

I'll allow it!

Good for both of you!

Was it in Milwaukee? I mean, in person for the first time.

Or was it maybe like a Grapplers Quest or IBJJF event?

I’m not sure but I’m positive you were wearing pajama pants and a hoodie? Does that narrow it down?

Expand full comment

Well... the only pajama pants I regularly wore before about 2010 were gi pants, and I'm confident we met well before Alley and I began dating (on the same day you and Celery began your relationship, in fact).

So no, it doesn't really narrow it down too much!

OK so I’m pretty sure you weren’t smoking a cigar or wearing a tuxedo. Does that help?

That does rule out at least that ONE party.
