My inner child is an adventure too. I see my kids in him.

This Young Andrew sure sounds like quite a kid. And I mean a goat kid. He better be a goat kid, lest you want to be accused of misleading marketing again!

I often say that I’m a 24 year old resident in a 66 year old professor’s body.

That tracks for me as well. I'm still invincible in my own mind in many ways, even as reality tries to convince me otherwise.

This reminds me somewhat of the Cherokee “Tale of Two Wolves”. In your case it seems you have tamed the inner wolf.

I have a story to tell you Andrew. I had surgery years ago and thought like a child for awhile due to it. My brain seriously had to recharge itself. There were some things that came very easily but others didn't. At 20yrs in many ways I was a child in an adults body. It taught me something. We can choose. Even when I fully healed, I never forgot that. Our bodies may grow older with time but we can choose to remember the innocence of childhood. We can choose to continue using our imaginations, etc. People like Dick Van Dike who's 99yrs and STILL happy, etc. is like that because he dances, etc. he's happy like a child. It's kept him young inside. Your childhood lives inside of you, all we have to do is remember it. We only grow up on the outside, the rest is a choice.
