Your love for dogs is unmatched. 👏 I know the indoor domesticated ones gives good company. Most of our dogs here are only reared for security, take care of cows, sheep, and goats.
You already had me hooked into joining this Sci-Friday community but dogs are definitely the deal sealer. I really love seeing your little ones. What an inventive way to bring them in to the story here :)
I am going to pretend the first was for the original Battlestar Galactica, for which I wrote fanfiction with a friend at 13 when it went off the air in 1979 (we were devastated). Two words: Dirk Benedict. These are sweet and funny and as a total dog freak myself, thank you for adopting dogs but especially the senior ones.
Unfortunately for me, I was born very slightly too late to appreciate the original BSG, although Dirk Benedict certainly made regular appearances in the Smith living room circa 1983-4.
I'm so glad the doggos got you! I love them so much, and they're such a huge part of my life, it's impossible not to sneak them into posts like these. :)
