No specific stories comes to mind, but a quote from Master Oogway in Kung Fu Panda: "One often meets his destiny on the road he takes to avoid it." It's so easy to focus on what we don't want instead of what we do want...and then we bring about what we're focused on. Oops.

I love that quote. I found that the inspiration for the movie probably originates with Jean de La Fontaine: "A person often meets his destiny on the road he took to avoid it."

Look at Disney getting us interested in 17th century French philosophy!

It’s almost the 2068th (?) anniversary of Caesar’s death. Numbers are not my forte, but it’s like the one historical date that sticks in my memory.
