I salute you for putting "pee" and "hot commodity" so close to each other. Also, I'm impressed by your range - transitioning from poop to pee without breaking a sweat!
Seems like? I just ran the computers. I will say the entire poop collection and treatment process is quite a thing and very interesting. I was also proud that I got a hard hat and a view of the evaporating ponds. From a tech perspective I tapped out once I got them connected to the internet which was a bit much for some of the Engineers there
Good one! Guano and white gold might be worth a follow up? I wrote about drama at the dookie district which was very traumatic for me early in my career (I changed the title because it seemed to crass for some of my readers) https://newsletter.wirepine.com/p/the-internet-is-for-porn
What years? Was there already a focus on data from the waste, like specific components of poop that probably first entered the public consciousness during the pandemic?

Sweat: that's a good one.
You're welcome!
The waste products of many animals are used as fertilizer. Why should we view human waste any differently?
We shouldn't, of course, but the social imperative is very strong on this one!
Well, now it can be said, Andrew......Urine the money!
I was waiting for just such a pitch-peefect comment, Brad!
Adding "guy that collects the urine for the king" on the list of jobs I never knew existed and would never want to do myself.
Ever see Monty Python's Holy Grail? "Dennis, there's some lovely filth down here!"
Late 90’s but the dookie district is in the mix now https://www.centralsan.org/post/wastewater-based-epidemiology-resources

This is gonna be a very useful way to prevent public health emergencies in the future, isn't it?

The Drama at the Dookie District should've been that title, but it was still fun to read!
I used to run the IT dept in a poop factory, AMA!
